Who can take part in figure skating?

How can I figure skate?
To begin this hobby you must build the Snow Park.

Where can I figure skate?
You can figure skate at the Snow Park on the ice hockey court. There are round darker patches in the ice and if you click on them you will get the figure skating option.
If you have a weather machine on any of your lots you can figure skate on a swimming pool.  You need to set the weather machine to snow which will turn the water in the swimming pool to ice.

What will I unlock?
When you complete the figure skating collection for the first time you will gain access to the ski lift at the Snow Park which allows you to snowboard and sleigh.

What is the figure skating option?
There used to be four options for figure skating but this was changed with the Dream Homes Update to only one option of Figure Skating- 12 hours. This is possibly because of the Figure Skating Event which was part of the update and it may revert to four options after the event.

How do I collect medals?
To collect the medals you need to skate on the ice.  Click the ice either at the Snow Park or on a frozen swimming pool and 'Figure Skate' When you finish figure skating click the '!' above your Sim and you will receive a medal.  As you improve your figure skating skill new medals will become available to collect.

3. Semi Skilled
4. Skilled
5. Advanced
6. Skater Prestige

Level 1 medals are:
Final Momeny of Dignity
Silver Stumble
The Golden Spiral

Level 2 is:
Platinum Princess

Level 3 are:
Encouragement Award
Coveted Topple

Level 4 are:
Heavenly Peak
The G. Grandeur

Level 5 are:
Blind Goose
Silver Teapot

Level 6 are:
Rare Swan
Simtown Splendour

What do I win?

• The first time you complete the collection you unlock to key to the ski lift at the snow park, this allows you to snowboard and use the sleigh.
• The second time you complete the collection you unlock the figure skating outfit which can be found in the fashion and fancy dress shop.
• The third time you complete the collection you receive 3 LPs.

What if I can't find one of the medals?
Just keep going I'm afraid! There is no skill or special trick to collecting all the medals. It is completely random with one you receive.

How do I start the collection again?
Once you have finished the collection you can click skate again at the bottom of the medals list to start over.
